Oh my goodness, the week is finally coming to an end! And I survived it!
I’ve been having straight busy weeks for some time now, but this week is a different kind of hectic because our family has to deal with a sickness, too. However, work was very hectic this week, too. Aside from training our 3 new hires, I myself have to learn new tasks. On top of that, everyone, especially the staff from Australia, seems to be getting sick. Even my co-pilot Lenz had to miss work the other day because she had a fever – and she’s absent again today because she’s going to Camiguin. Life is fair!
Which leads me to my first story…
Travel Plans
It’s been soooo long since I’ve gone anywhere. The last time I’ve gone somewhere, it was just nearby Samal Island with my colleagues. I wasn’t able to go anywhere for a couple of reasons. First, well, I’ve already told you about my father’s ailment. Second, no time. Unlike last year when I was just working freelance, when I could just take a leave from work anytime I wanted to, now, I have a full-time job that I’m accountable to.
So even though there were opportunities, I couldn’t just go anywhere without filing a proper leave of absence. And now I’m itching to travel! I’m even online window-shopping for backpacks now, like this one:

I super like the idea of a convertible backpack that I can use as a stroller when I’m tired. I’m also loving the design of this one. However, I’m wary of its price — do you think it’s too cheap? I wish I could feel this one up close and personal.
I’ll probably go somewhere this Christmas (with colleagues again), but we can’t go too far since one of us is pregnant. Yihee! I’ll just have to content myself with a resort near the city.
They also want to go to Surigao. Of course I want to go to Surigao, too, but it’s too close to temptation. Any friend of mine who knows the nature of my relationship with Job would understand!
Time Flies Too Fast It’s Scary
It’s payday again at work, the second one for the month of October, which means one thing: it’s almost November! How is that even possible?! In fact, just two nights ago, the village officers had a meeting here at home. One of the things discussed is the annual Trick or Treat. What? Wasn’t it just yesterday when we joined our first Trick or Treat last year?!
I just put on the masque very thinly as I need to put it on and wash it off quickly because Yuri freaks out every time I use it. That’s Himalaya Herbals Neem Face Pack, by the way.
Unfortunately, I don’t think we would be joining this year’s Trick or Treat. Yuri still remembers some of the super scary costumes worn last year and must have been traumatised for life. It’s okay. I decided that what I could have spent on a costume, I’ll just spend on chocolates. Para di kami lugi. Hahahuhu.
So I’m skipping Halloween thoughts and thinking of Christmas instead. I’m beginning to online window-shop for Christmas now. I’m excited!
By the way, speaking of time that flies too fast, I just learned that Job’s youngest sister (second to the youngest) is joining their school’s pageant. She was just a little child when I last saw her. Now, I looked at her picture and was blown away by how much she’s grown. She’s a beauty, no doubt about that, but it only means I’ve grown old, too!
I need to have a word with her makeup artist, though. Her eyebrows were plucked too thinly! (So no picture muna)
A Bit of Shopping
Speaking of Christmas shopping, I’ve online shopped a bit this month. I haven’t shopped at all last month (September) because all I bought were food and groceries. No wonder I couldn’t lose weight! I’ll feature all my finds in another post, but here’s a couple of pictures of what I ordered this week:
It’s finally Friday tomorrow. I can’t wait for the week to end! This week was good to me, but it was just so tiring!
